Need help with eating?

Eric shares his device. This allows for reach, stability and movement while eating. It helps get the fork to the mouth when lifting the arm becomes more difficult.

I got it from www.sammonsprestonrolyan.com. I ordered the Wheelchair Feeder Bracket which goes on the wheelchair and the Mobile Arm Support which then attaches to that bracket. It only works if you get both items. An Occupational Therapist put mine on the chair and adjusted all the peices until it was just right. It comes in different sizes so anyone who wants one should have an O.T. help them.

Coat for people in wheelchairs from Resident Shoppers Service, Inc.

It covers everything and keeps legs warm.  You can also order it special with fleece sleeves for where the arms come out of the cape.  You can also add velcro to the sides and secure it right to the legrests of the wheelchair so it doesn't fly up in the wind.
