Mission Statement

The Independence Foundation is dedicated to providing support and assistance to individuals with physical disabilities so that they may live independent, self-directed lives. It is our goal to provide accessible housing (partnering with People Inc.), employment, social activities, community involvement, and recreation.

We are a nonprofit (501c3) organization.

Donna Gibson from the VNA!

Donna has made a huge difference in many of our families’ lives. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that our children get the equipment they need, has come up with creative solutions when traditional options won’t work, and most importantly – has gone above and beyond in exploring and researching new options, collaborating with care teams, and establishing treatments for our “respiratory at risk” children.
