2006 Anniversary Celebration
Thank you to Doug at The Whistle Stop Cafe for sharing his restaurant with us.
We paused to celebrate this significant first step - the Approval! Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way so far - thank you for praying with us, for attending meetings, for all the paperwork, and especially for never letting the vision of The Indpendence House fade.
This March we celebrate One Year as The Independence Foundation! We have come so far in so little time!
At our celebration, we were presented with a stepping stone - a symbol of the first step in the eventual building. The young adults who will live in The Independence House signed the stone - and a dove will be etched into the stone to remember Marc Swiatkowski - as his presence is in very step that we take.
This steping stone will become a permanent part of the house with many more steps ahead of us!
Our next step is to find land.
